Artificial Flower Wholesalers Compared: Tax ID, Minimum Order, Shipping and Terms
“Where do the professionals go to get their silk flowers for wholesale prices?” A florist with a resale license and tax ID asked this on r/florists, and the answers named the same handful of US suppliers that come up again and again. Before you open an account, the terms matter as much as the flowers: who can buy, what documents you need, the minimum order, who pays shipping and whether credit terms exist. This page compares the published terms of those suppliers, and ours, as of 13 October 2026.
Quick Answer
Most US artificial flower wholesalers that florists recommend are trade-only: they ask for a resale certificate or tax ID, set an opening order of $125 to $500, and charge shipping on top. A few, such as DirectFloral and International Silk, are open to anyone. NB8 Floral is also open to anyone: no documents, no minimum beyond one pack, and shipping to US addresses included, but items not in our US warehouse ship from China in about 30 days, and we do not offer credit terms.
Published Terms, Side by Side
Every cell below comes from the supplier’s own public pages, read on 13 October 2026 and linked in the table. “—” means the page we read did not state it. Terms change, so check the supplier before you order.
| Supplier | Who can buy | Documents | Minimum order | Shipping | Payment terms |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pioneer Wholesale (Ohio) | Businesses only; does not sell to individual consumers, including brides | Signed sales tax exemption form in most states; state resale or vendor license number | $125 ($500 international) | Buyer pays; no free shipping; ships from Berea, OH | First orders by credit card |
| Burton + Burton (Georgia) | Also sells retail; wholesale pricing needs a wholesale account | Business tax ID for a wholesale account | Wholesale: $250 opening, $100 reorder | FOB Bogart, GA; free shipping from $15,000 | — |
| Allstate Floral (California) | Trade accounts | Resale certificate / tax ID | $500 opening, $250 reorder | FOB Cerritos, CA | Credit application available |
| Winward (California) | Wholesale pricing to the trade | Dealer registration form asks for Tax ID / EIN | $500 opening, $250 reorder | FOB Vacaville, CA; 15% freight cap from $2,500 | Card, or Net 30 with credit approval (from $3,000) |
| Transpac (incl. Sullivans by Transpac) | B2B; not for individual consumers | Tax ID copy and business card to apply for credit terms | $500 opening, $250 reorder | — | Card on first orders; Net 30 later with approved credit |
| International Silk (Los Angeles) | Online orders open; “All our prices are wholesale” | None to order; resale permit in store avoids sales tax | $300 to ship online; none in store | Domestic ground, 3–5 business days; US only | — |
| DirectFloral (Ohio) | Open | Not stated on its public pages | No order minimum | FOB Akron, OH; freight often known only after the order ships | Net 30 on approval |
| Afloral | Anyone at retail prices; trade program for 20–30% off | Copy of resale certificate for the trade program | Not stated | Ground shipping from $8.95 | — |
| NB8 Floral | Anyone | None | One pack | Free to US addresses (remote areas excluded) | Paid in full at checkout; no credit terms |
What the Differences Mean for You
If you have a resale certificate and order regularly
Trade-only suppliers such as Pioneer, Allstate, Winward and Transpac are built for you: once approved, several offer Net 30 credit terms, and orders ship from US warehouses (Pioneer, for example, states a processing time of one business day). Plan around their opening minimums ($125 to $500) and budget for freight, which is charged on top.
If you do not have a tax ID or business license
Look for suppliers that are open to the public. On the published terms, that includes DirectFloral (no order minimum), International Silk ($300 minimum to ship online), Afloral at retail prices, and NB8 Floral. Pioneer states that it does not sell to individual consumers, including brides. See buying wholesale without a tax ID.
If shipping cost is hard to predict
Most suppliers above ship FOB their warehouse, so freight is added to the order; DirectFloral notes that freight is often known only after the order ships. Our prices already include shipping to US addresses, so the total at checkout is the total.
Where NB8 Floral Fits, and Where It Does Not
- Fits: no documents, no minimum beyond one pack, the same listed prices for everyone, shipping to US addresses included, and real touch stems at a median of $2.83 per stem in NB8 Floral’s catalog (read on 12 October 2026).
- Does not fit as well: our smallest unit is a pack (most often 30 to 100 stems), not a single stem; options that are not in our US warehouse ship from China in about 30 days; and orders are paid in full at checkout, with no Net 30.
- Check before you order: availability is shown for each option. Options marked US stock ship in 1 to 3 business days, with delivery 2 to 5 business days after dispatch. If part of an order ships from China, it arrives in two shipments.
FAQ
Which artificial flower wholesalers do not require a tax ID?
On their published terms, DirectFloral and International Silk do not require one to order, Afloral sells at retail prices without one, and NB8 Floral requires no documents at all. Pioneer, Allstate, Winward and Transpac ask for a resale certificate or tax ID, and Burton + Burton asks for a business tax ID for wholesale pricing.
What is a typical minimum order for artificial flowers wholesale?

Do artificial flower wholesalers offer free shipping?
Most do not: the suppliers above charge freight from their warehouse, with thresholds or caps on large orders (Burton + Burton ships free from $15,000; Winward caps freight at 15% from $2,500). NB8 Floral includes shipping to US addresses in its prices, excluding remote areas.
Which wholesalers offer Net 30 terms?
