Line flowers are tall, spiked or branching stems that set the height and outline of an arrangement before the focal flowers go in. NB8 Floral carries about 48 line designs: delphiniums are the largest group at 19, followed by cherry and crabapple blossom branches, flocked acacia, orchid sprays, reeds, salvia, lavender, gladiolus, lilac and amaranthus. Most are silk.
Use this collection for tall vase and floor arrangements, ceremony arches and installations that need height, and any design where the outline has to be set before the mass of flowers is added.
Tall Artificial Flowers and Line Flowers FAQ
What are line flowers in floral design?
Line flowers are tall, spiked or branching stems that create the height, shape and direction of an arrangement. Florists usually place them first to set the outline, then add focal flowers and fillers inside it. Delphinium, gladiolus, snapdragon, blossom branches and orchid sprays are typical line flowers.
Which tall artificial flowers do you stock?
Delphiniums are the largest group, with 19 designs. Cherry and crabapple blossom branches, flocked acacia sprays, orchid sprays, reeds, salvia, lavender, gladiolus, lilac and amaranthus make up the rest, for about 48 tall and line designs in total.
Which tall flowers work for a floor vase or an arch?
For a floor vase, blossom branches and acacia sprays give height with an open, airy shape, while delphiniums give a denser vertical line. For arches and installations, delphiniums are often used to set the outline, with hanging flowers added along the edges for a trailing finish.
